Ranch House Holiday Cottage is situated in the peaceful rural retreat of Charlcombe, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet is less than two miles from the many attractions of the wonderful City of Bath - offering visitors the very best of both worlds. In addition to its picturesque location, the Cottage achieved a 2012 self catering Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation, cleanliness and customer care.

The Cottage is detached, mainly single-storey, and there are wonderful countryside views from most windows. The self catering holiday accommodation is stylish and comfortable, with spacious living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher and microwave). There are two bedrooms, a double (with 5' bed) and a single (with 3' bed) plus a 2'6" 'Z'bed (suitable for occasional use by a child) and a travel cot. En suite to the double bedroom is a large 'wet room' style shower room (about 6'x5'), plus another room with WC, bidet and basin. There is also a separate cloakroom (opposite the single bedroom). Please note there is a shower only (no bath) and that the shower room is accessed through the double bedroom, making the cottage best suited to a couple or family. There is also a utility room (with washing machine and drying facilities) and a useful boot room.

Outside, there is a private terrace for cottage guests, which overlooks several acres of grounds (waiting to be explored!), including picnic and play areas, all bordered by trees and a brook (shared with the owners, who live in the neighbouring Ranch House).

Your holiday 'home from home' is suitable for children of all ages (travel cot, baby bath and high chair available) and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (charges may apply). Country walks around the lanes in the valley are an enjoyable pastime and the Cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Somerset countryside. The location is very convenient for both car and train travellers; there is ample parking at the property and regular buses into Bath.

Luxury bed linen and towels are provided and features include flat screen TV, DVD player, wireless broadband (WIFI), CD player, DAB radio, iPod dock. There is 'guest controlled' gas central heating, constant hot water, and a selection of board games and books plus maps of the area and information about places to visit.

Within a few minutes walk of Ranch House Holiday Cottage is Larkhall Village, with local amenities including: Goodies deli, Larkhall butchers, Tony's greengrocers, Co-Op Local, Emma's café, pubs, takeaways, small theatre (The Rondo) and local restaurant. There is also a local park with tennis courts, a children’s play area and an outdoor café.

2012 weekly and short stay rates include:

Gas and electricity, wireless broadband, bed linen and towels, kitchen and bathroom essentials, welcome pack
Check in time on day of arrival is 3pm
Check out time on day of departure is 10am

The prices quoted below are for The Cottage (not per person) for the number of nights specified. Weekly bookings usually start on Friday or Saturday.

Weekly lettings from £350 to £700 for seven nights
Short breaks from £75 to £150 per night
